It has been nine years since 26/11. For two days, a handful of terrorists hosted the economic capital of the country. The vilification of this attack increases due to many reasons. One was the attack on one of the most hyperophil areas in the country. The other terrorists were aware of these places as if they were staying here.
Reiki continued for a long time and our system did not even know. After the 26-11 post-attacks, the police, the kind of flurry that the NSG faced, raised many questions. The carelessness of the media also helped the terrorists, so we should thank the heroes who, by giving their lives, took Mumbai out of this emergency situation.
* Mumbai Police
Kasab could be captured alive due to the Havaldar Tukaram Omble. Tukaram had to give his life in this encounter with Kasab. Similarly, Encounter Specialist Vijay Salaskar, ACP Ashok Kamte and ATS Chief Hemant Karkare were also martyred in this attack. All these were awarded the Ashok Chakra for bravery. Along with these people, those people of Mumbai Police are entitled to equal respect, which were not on the front at that time but working in control rooms and other places were trying to control the city's situation.
* N.S.G
On the second day of the attack, the NSG took charge in the Taj Hotel. Terrorists were going to kill the hostages and used the grenade in the hotel. NSG commandos Gajendra Singh Bisht and Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan had to be martyred in direct encounter with these intimidators, but due to them the Taj Hotel could be freed from the attackers.
* Dog Squad
The four dogs named Max Caesar, Tiger and Sultan saved many lives in this attack. All four of them together recovered 8 kg of RDX, 25 grenades, four detonators and other weapons. Those who left many lives because of The government also gave gold to these three medals. Of these, Max died in 2016 due to age of Max. The remaining three are passing their retirement in one canal of Mumbai.
* Captain Ravi Dharnidhira
Only a few people know their names. Captain Dharnidhira of Indian origin is credited with saving the lives of 157 people of Taj Hotel. Captain Ravi lived in Iraq for 4 years in the US Marine. At the time of the Mumbai attacks, they were in a restaurant inside the Taj.
At the time of the attack, Captain had thought that he could compete with these attackers himself. After seeing the threat of weapons of terrorists, they decided to take out the hostages safely. From the kitchen knives and other tools, chairs, tablets etc. they prevented the way of the first terrorists and then took the hostages safely along with them. Two former South African commandos helped him in this work. The evacuation of 157 people out of the 20th floor of the burning hotel in the attack is a big mission in itself, which Captain has done very well.
