Former BJP MLA Jayantilal Bhanushali Shot Dead By Unidentified Men Onboard Train

Former Gujarat BJP MLA Jayantilal Bhanushali was shot dead by unidentified men while he was travelling onboard train. Bhanushali was shot dead on Monday night while he was travelling from Bhuj to Ahmedabad onboard Sayaji Nagar Express train. He was travelling in the AC First class coach during the attack.

He was murdered between Kataria and Surbari railway stations. One of the bullets hit his chest, while another injured his eye. Following the incident, the train was halted at Maliya railway station of Gujarat for almost two hours. His body was recovered from the train by police, who launched a probe into the matter.

Bhanushali came in news last year when he was accused by a woman of raping her. He, however, dismissed the allegations saying it was an attempt to malign his image.
