The CBI’s chargesheet in Muzzaffarpur shelter home case has made some shocking revelations. The case relates to sexual exploitation of 42 girls in Bihar’s shelter home in Muzzaffarpur with links to many politicians and bureaucrats. In the chargesheet, CBI has made shocking revelations about the horrific activities the girls living in shelter home had to go through. The 73-page chargesheet mentions that the girls were forced to dance on vulgar songs and wear revealing clothes.
Moreover, the chargesheet filed by CBI before special POCSO court of additional district judge RP Tiwari on December 19, also reveals that the innocent girls were also drugged and raped by guests of Brijesh Thakur, the prime accused in the case. Along with Thakur, 20 others have been accused in the case and booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
The chargesheet further revealed that girls who refused to have sex with guests were beaten by Thakur on their private parts. Also, these girls were given only rotis and salt to eat at night. Medical tests revealed that out of 42 girls, 34 girls were sexually assaulted. After the matter came into light last year, Thakur was arrested and the shelter home was closed by the Bihar government.
