How’s the khauf? BJP taunts Mamata Banerjee ahead of Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal

After being denied permission to hold rallies in West Bengal last Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit the state again this afternoon to address a public gathering in West Bengal’s Purulia district. The BJP, ahead of Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal, made a sarcastic tweet to Mamata Banerjee-led government.

Just hours before his rally in West Bengal, the BJP tweeted saying, “Uri”: “How’s the khauf (fear)?”, reported NDTV. The chief minister will leave for Purulia after the adjournment of the Vidhan Sabha session today. He is slated to address the rally at around 3:30 pm.

Yogi was scheduled to address two rallies in West Bengal on February 3, one in North Dinajpur district’s Raiganj and the other in South Dinajpur district’s Balurghat. However, the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee declined permission for Yogi’s chopper to land for both rallies without any prior notice. Later in the day, Yogi addressed the rally in Raiganj via telephone and accused Banerjee of carrying out shameful activities.

Addressing both the rallies through the audio link, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, “The TMC government didn’t allow me to come and meet you all. That is why I had to resort to the Digital India of Modi Ji to address you.” Lashing out at the Mamata Banerjee government, the UP chief minister said, “This TMC government is anti-people and anti-democratic and has compromised with the national security.”
