Nana Patekar

Nana Patekar, has painted zebra crossings on roads before becoming the well known actor. While he can afford almost every luxury of life, Nana Patekar still chooses to live in a 1 BHK apartment with his mother. He had made a generous donation of 15,000 rupees per family to almost 62 families of the farmers who committed suicide in Marathwada region. He himself visited around 112 farmers’ families in Marathwada. He had undergone strict army training for three years to perfect his role for Prahaar, he was given the honorary rank of Captain in the early ‘90s. Even after the last shot for that movie, he had lent his services to the army, including a stint during the Kargil war.

Akshay Kumar

The National Award Winner, Akshay Kumar has always been an dedicated citizen. He has came up with all the national issues in his movies. The most humble and fintness freak is also a regualar donar. Akshay had shared a video on his social media accounts, proposing an idea to develop an app to bridge the gap between citizens willing to volunteer financial aid to the families of martyred soldiers. And now, the home ministry and the film star are tying up to create a simple web application. To help the drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra, he gave a financial aid of Rs. 90 lakh to help 180 families of the farmers who had committed suicide. He also made a contribution of 50 lakh to Salman’s charitable trust Being Human. He also donated Rs 1 crore to Chennai’s flood relief.Not many know that he also launched a martial arts school to provide self-defence training to women for free in Mumbai and has trained 4000 women. Akshay helped the family of Jawans with a monetary help of Rs 80 lakhs.

Vivek Oberoi

Actor Vivek Oberoi has donated computers to the underprivileged girls in a bid encourage them to study and bring them better growth opportunities. The actor, who was last seen on the silver screen in the film Great Grand Masti and has been part of films such as Krrish 3 (2013), Zila Ghaziabad (2013) and Prince (2010), feels strongly about providing best facilities for young girls. When he got to know that they want to learn more through better technology. His real estate company Karrm Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (KIPL) is donating 25 flats to families of CRPF (Central Reserve Police) martyrs in Thane, Maharashtra.

Salman Khan

According to a report, in 2007, Salman had decided to auction his paintings and donate all the money earned to an organization. Previously, the actor had donated some of his paintings to an NGO headed by Ramola Bachchan, and the money earned from selling them was given to the NGO, stated the report.
He runs an NGO that works for cancer patients and kids, all for free. He is also one of the biggest charitable person.
