Weird Ritual- Parents Of This Community Give Poisonous Snakes To Daughter On Her Wedding

This is the real news of Joginagar village of Mahasmund district of Chhattisgarh. In this village a community of snake-charmers live which follows this weird tradition. People of this community give 21 different types of poisonous snakes to the groom during the day of wedding as a gift. It’s a tradition which can only be followed at the time of wedding.

If father of the bride don’t have 21 snakes then, he had to borrow snakes from neighbors and relatives. After marriage, he returns all borrowed snake to their respective owners. There are many other rituals followed in this community where snakes play the important role.

In fact, people organize a small function, whenever any snake dies in the village and serve food to other people. Moreover that, the owner of the snake, has to shave his beard and mustaches when his snake dies. These snake charmers are in danger now, as the forest department has banned keeping snakes at home.
